The news of one partner's truth may have been expected, a surprise, or devastating. No matter how it was received, partners may find themselves with a number of challenges ahead.
TALK TO SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS
Are you uncertain about what to do?
Do you feel like your world has fallen apart? Like your life has shattered?
Are you stuck? Overwhelmed? Struggling?
Do you understand the impact this will have on your relationship and your life?
Are you navigating this change with family, friends or at your workplace?
Would you like to better understand what your partner is going through?
Could you use help figuring out next steps?
My client-centered approach focuses on YOUR needs, providing the support you may not find in queer or cis/het spaces. Many therapists are unfamiliar with issues that arise once gender identity and/or sexuality enter a relationship. I am well-versed with the complexities of gender transition, the exploration of sexuality, and the myriad ways in which cis and straight partners respond to these fundamental changes. We can work together to cultivate greater self-awareness, identify issues, and create actionable steps toward achieving goals. Whether you seek support managing transition, reinventing your relationship, or leaving it behind, let's discover how you can be empowered to live your best life.
When one partner comes out as transgender, gender diverse, non-binary, or gay, both partners may struggle with issues surrounding sexuality, dysphoria, anxiety, depression, isolation, trust, and/or codependency.
Relationships can become more complicated by friends, family members, work environments, medical procedures, and societal discrimination.
You can overcome these challenges, learn how to best manage change, reclaim your life, and reinvent yourself.
I am committed to providing safe and supportive spaces for cis and straight partners as well as transgender, gender diverse and non-binary folx and those exploring sexuality.
I am a MBSR trained, Certified Life Coach (former attorney), offering a range of services, including one-on-one sessions, group coaching, workshops, and online support groups.
